Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 July 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or playing Isles of Calamity ("the Game"), you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Game Rules. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Game with the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password and two-factor device secure, and for all activity under your account.
- One person may hold multiple accounts, subject to the Game Rules on multi-account conduct.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or the Game Rules.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to cheat, automate play (botting), exploit bugs, buy/sell accounts or in-game items for real money outside sanctioned systems, or disrupt the Game or other players. Detail is in the Game Rules.
5. Virtual items
In-game items, currency, and characters are licensed to you for use in the Game and have no real-world monetary value. They are not your property and cannot be transferred outside the Game.
6. Availability & changes
The Game is provided "as is". We may change, suspend, or discontinue worlds or features, and may wipe beta worlds at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of major changes.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pixel Glitch Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Game, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

1. What we collect
- Account data — email, display name, date of birth (for age verification), and a securely hashed password.
- Security data — two-factor secret (encrypted), hashed recovery codes and security-question answers.
- Gameplay data — characters, progress, and in-game activity tied to your account.

2. How we use it
To run your account and the Game, secure it against unauthorised access, prevent cheating and abuse, operate leaderboards, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Your rights
You can download all data we hold about your account and request deletion at any time from your account page. Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period, during which you may cancel. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws; contact support@islesofcalamity.com to exercise them.
4. Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Chat and moderation logs are retained for up to 12 months for safety and abuse prevention. Security audit records are kept for accountability.
5. Sharing
We use service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery, and Google for advertising — see Advertising below) who process data on our behalf under contract or under their own policies. We may disclose data where required by law.

Strictly necessary
The website uses a small number of strictly necessary storage items to keep you signed in (your session token) and to remember interface choices. These are essential to the service.
Advertising cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the game free to play. Google and its third-party ad vendors set cookies to serve and personalise ads and to measure their performance, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland we request consent before advertising cookies are set.

If we add analytics or performance cookies, we will update this notice and, where required, add a consent mechanism.
Managing storage
You can clear site storage in your browser at any time; doing so will sign you out.
Game Rules
Last updated: 13 July 2026
These rules keep the isles fair. Breaking them can lead to a mute, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban, depending on severity.
1. No cheating or botting
Do not use automation, bots, macros, or third-party software that plays for you or gives an unfair advantage. Bot activity is monitored.
2. No exploiting
If you find a bug, report it — do not abuse it. Exploiting bugs for gain (duping, unintended rewards) is punishable and gains may be reversed.
3. No real-world trading
Do not buy or sell accounts, characters, items, or currency for real money outside sanctioned systems.
4. Be civil
No harassment, hate speech, threats, or spam. Keep chat appropriate for a broad audience.
5. Account security
Do not share your account or password. Do not attempt to access another player's account.
6. Scamming & impersonation
Do not impersonate staff, and do not deceive players out of items or account access.
Report rule-breaking in game or through the recovery/report tools. Staff decisions are logged and reviewable.
