Company details
In plain English: this page says who runs Isles of Calamity, where we are, and how to reach us. It is the one page to check if you need our formal details.
- The Game and the Site are run by Pixel Glitch Studios, based in California, USA.
- Our contact address is support@islesofcalamity.com, or use the support form. We have no public telephone line.
- We do not publish a postal address yet; a business mailing address will appear here once the studio establishes one. Until then, contact support@islesofcalamity.com.
- We have not yet appointed EU or UK representatives; players there should contact us directly at the address above.
- If you live in the EU or the UK, the rights your own law gives you as a consumer still apply, whatever any other page of ours says.
1. Who operates the Game and the Site
- Trading names. Isles of Calamity is the name of the Game and the Site. Pixel Glitch Studios is the studio name under which the Game is published. Both are trading names only; neither is, by itself, a statement that a company exists.
- Operator. The Game and the Site are operated by Pixel Glitch Studios ("we", "us"). Where these documents say "we" or "us", they mean Pixel Glitch Studios.
- Registration. Pixel Glitch Studios is registered under company number None — unincorporated sole proprietorship.
2. Postal address
- We do not publish a postal address yet; a business mailing address will appear here once the studio establishes one. Until then, contact support@islesofcalamity.com. Formal notices may be served by email to the same address until a postal address is published.
- The same address appears in the footer of our newsletter. We send no other marketing mail.
3. How to contact us
- Email. support@islesofcalamity.com. This is our contact address for every subject, including formal and legal notices.
- Support form. The support form covers general, account, bug, billing, appeal and press topics. Press and business enquiries go through that form under the press topic; there is no separate press address.
- Automated mail. Mail we send you — such as email
confirmations, recovery codes, security notices and the newsletter — is sent
from
no-reply@islesofcalamity.com. Where a message is automated, its footer says so and replies to it are not read; use 3.1 or 3.2 instead. - Telephone. We do not operate a public telephone line.
4. Where we are established, and the law that applies
- We are established in the State of California, United States of America, and the Game and the Site are operated from the United States.
- The Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law. That choice of law is set out in the Terms of Service; this page does not add to it or vary it.
- Your statutory rights survive. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, clause 4.2 does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live, and does not remove any right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of that country. No limitation, exclusion or choice of law in any of our documents affects those rights.
5. Our representatives in the EU and the UK
- Under review. Counsel must confirm whether Article 27 of the GDPR or UK GDPR requires an appointment, including whether any occasional-processing exception applies.
- EU representative, if required and appointed: We have not yet appointed an EU representative under Article 27 GDPR; until we do, players in the EU should contact us directly at support@islesofcalamity.com.
- UK representative, if required and appointed: We have not yet appointed a UK representative under Article 27 UK GDPR; until we do, players in the UK should contact us directly at support@islesofcalamity.com.
- You may contact the relevant representative on any question about how we handle your personal data, either instead of contacting us at 3.1 or in addition to it. Contacting a representative does not limit any legal action you may bring against us directly.
6. Data protection
- Pixel Glitch Studios is the controller of the personal data described in our Privacy Policy. What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have are set out there, not here.
- To exercise a data-protection right, write to support@islesofcalamity.com or to the representative named at 5.2 or 5.3.
- Complaints. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office. In the European Union it is the supervisory authority of the Member State where you live, where you work, or where you believe the problem occurred. You do not have to contact us first, though we would prefer the chance to put things right.
