Gathering skill

Cultivation is the farming skill: gathering from farmyard sources today, with player-grown crops in development.

Alpha guide. Farmyard gathering is live with the values below. The plant-grow-harvest crop system is implemented in the engine and enters content testing; crop tables will be added here when crops are released.

Grinding Grain into Pot of Flour at the windmill grants 2 Cooking XP, not Cultivation XP.

The crop system (in development)

The implemented design: seeds are planted in farm patches, crops grow through stages in real time (including while you are offline), and mature crops are harvested for the yield. XP is granted twice — a smaller amount on planting and a larger amount per harvest. Each patch holds one crop at a time. Growth times will vary by crop.

All skills use the same experience curve. Level 100 is skill mastery (955,336 XP); level 999 is legendary mastery (253,245,203 XP). See the experience table for the full curve.

Tips.

Egg, Bucket of Milk, and Pot of Flour are baking ingredients; farmyard runs stock a kitchen as well as train the skill.
The three farmyard tasks have short respawns and sit close together; rotating between them avoids waiting.
